HOW IT WORKS
The BidALoad Return Load Auctions system has been designed with ease of use at the forefront.
Load Owners can post loads that need carrying. A simple form allows them to state the postcode from where the load needs to be collected as well as the postcode it needs delivering to along with the type of load and any timeframe. One of the great features of the BidALoad system is that on inputting the start and end postcodes for a route the system automatically directs the user to Google Maps and shows them a suggested route along with the total mileage. If you wish to change the route or add a stop-off point then Google Maps enables that and re-calculates the distance.
Once these details have been input the system activates a new "Auction" that allows Hauliers [who are registered on the BidALoad system] to bid on the load. Each bid must be less than the previous bid so any new Haulier interested in carrying a particular load will have to beat the price of other Hauliers who have already bid. Bidding continues until the auction ends at a specified time or at the request of the Load Owner who wishes to accept the best bid to date.
Tutorials on this site have been created to assist both Load Owners and Hauliers to understand how to register for a free account on BidALoad. Videos demonstrating the registration process and how to input a new load are also available.
Costs
Once an "auction" closes the successful Haulier and Load Owners will each be billed 5% of the value of the agreed sum which is the commission payable to BidALoad to maintain the system and make improvements over time.
